My name is Kristen and I am so happy to have you here!
Have you ever felt overwhelmed, lost, or incompetent as a new nurse? Or worse, have you ever felt like you were alone? Like your friends or family just doesn’t get it?
You are not alone, my friend. Many new nurses/student nurses feel this way, and it is a lonely place to be. But I am here to tell you that you no longer have to feel that way! Why? Because I am here for you! I have been where you are and felt the feelings that you are feeling.
How I can help you!
One of my true passions is educating and precepting new nurses. I believe having a good support system is crucial to your success when becoming a new nurse. I want to be your personal support person! I would love to share my tips, tricks, and years of knowledge with you. I will be here for you when you have questions, need help learning new procedures or tasks, and be a shoulder for you to lean on.
My journey
My nursing journey started in 2009 when I finally decided to apply for nursing school, after finally finishing my prerequisites. At that time, I was a mom to a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old. So to say that I had my hands full is an understatement.
After nursing school, I began working on an interventional cardiac unit, where I worked for 12 years. In 2023, I decided to leave the bedside and started working as a hospice nurse.
